The Next Step for Personal and Church Growth!
By Building upon our “Dynamite Prayer” experiences, we will be launching a new campaign that continues to recognize that one of the most powerful tools God can use to grow a church is a Spiritual Growth Campaign. This will begin on August 20th. 

This 6-week spiritual growth emphasis focuses on a singular biblical topic/theme. Why 6 weeks? Because it takes that long to develop a new habit. A campaign is NOT a one-and-done small group study, but a disciplined transformational process aimed at growing deeper faith and greater love in our relationship with Jesus Christ!

How Does it Work?
Through church service, small group/Sunday school participation, and personal quiet time, we will be immersed in the specific topic/theme of the campaign. Teaching is provided in multiple learning styles - hearing, watching, discussing, writing, and reading. This meets the unique learning styles of our church members and provides reinforcement around the topic/theme.

Who Should Participate?
Campaigns are for everyone! In addition, it’s not just for our congregation, but campaigns allow us to invite our unchurched friends to participate as well. As the campaign momentum builds, our dream is that we will see more people coming to Christ, more people growing in biblical truth, more people mobilized for ministry, more people joining small groups and more people sharing their faith!

How Do We Begin?
Prior to the Campaign, we need to pray. “There is no power like that of prevailing prayer. It turns ordinary mortals into people of power. It brings power. It brings fire. It brings rain. It brings life. It brings God – (Samuel Chadwick). I ask that prior to this time you Pray to open our hearts to this experience and that God may grant us church-wide participation. The campaign will begin on August 20th, as the summer begins to come to an end. I believe this is a good time to re-engage. So as we start focusing on returning to school, and a more consistent presence in church we will begin to awaken and pursue the custom-made dream God created you to fulfill.

Details
During the campaign, there is a 42-day devotional (MS Word or Excel digital format) that corresponds with the campaign. We will have study guides for all adults that want to participate and the curriculum from Birth through High School. Each Adult Study guide comes with a code so that you can stream the DVD content for free. This should make it easy to host small groups in homes. What would you think of hosting a group in your home and inviting a person or couple that doesn’t come to FUMC?

I think it would be fabulous and a huge step forward for our church if we could have 10-15 small groups at home. Leading the group is fairly simple and we will help you get organized to lead. In
addition to preaching on this topic for 6 weeks, I will also lead a daytime and evening small group.
